Literature Text

There it was again
Music
Music
Always in his brain
Music Music
That little song,
That lovely little song,
That lovely little song that his Emily used to play
Before that dark and fateful day
He awoke to find her gone,
Dress, jewels, gold and all gone.
Not a whisper, not a trace,
Not even a hint of her face.
Music Music
Echoed round, round round round-!
Music
Music
Lovely little piano sang with no hand to play.
Long nights, long days,
Emily gone. His pride, his joy,
His little girl, singing she did enjoy
Little song,
Lovely little song
Lovely little song my Emily used to play.
Dust, cobwebs, shame, disgrace
All because of that boy with the handsome face.
He's to blame,
He's to shame,
Too bad there is no name…

Play it again, Emily…
Papa loves your lovely little song…
I was listening to "Remains of the Day" and I got to thinking about Emily's family. How did they react when they found her bed empty with the jewels and gold gone the next morning? Did they ever find her body?

Just a small dip into what I think her father might have gone through...a slow descent into madness, hearing her little piano song played again and again and again...

Corpse Bride belongs to Tim Burton. I own nothing.
